Protein Granola

A crunchy, lightly sweetened homemade granola packed with nuts, seeds, and extra protein. Perfect for topping Greek yogurt, pairing with fruit, or enjoying with your favorite milk.


Prep Time: 10 minutes

Bake Time: 25–30 minutes

Oven: 325°F


Ingredients

  • 2 cups organic rolled oats

  • 1 cup mixed raw nuts, such as cashews and almonds, roughly chopped

  • ¼ cup raw sunflower seeds

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • ½ cup protein powder

  • 1½ tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp sea salt

  • ⅓ cup liquid egg whites

  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup

  • 2–3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Combine the dry ingredients. In a large bowl, mix the oats, chopped nuts, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, protein powder, cinnamon, and sea salt.

  3. Mix the wet ingredients. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the egg whites, maple syrup, olive oil, and vanilla.

  4. Combine. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated.

  5. Spread and press. Transfer the granola onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer. Gently press the mixture down with a spatula—this helps create those delicious granola clusters.

  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until lightly golden. For larger clusters, avoid stirring while it bakes. Keep an eye on it toward the end since protein powder can brown more quickly than traditional granola.

  7. Cool completely. Let the granola cool undisturbed on the baking sheet. It will continue to crisp as it cools. Once completely cooled, break it into your desired cluster size.


Pair it with Greek yogurt and berries for a balanced breakfast or snack with protein, fiber, healthy fats, and carbohydrates. For a pre-workout option, keep the granola portion moderate and pair it with yogurt and fruit for an easy combination of carbohydrates and protein.
