Why I Created Wellness Cami
Hi, I’m Camila, a neuroscience student with a love for wellness, nourishment, and learning how to feel at home in my body again.
A few years ago, my relationship with health looked very different than it does now. I thought being “healthy” meant always being disciplined, eating less, exercising more, and constantly trying to control my body. Over time, though, I stopped feeling like myself. I lost my menstrual cycle for years, struggled with hypothyroidism, stress around food, anxiety, and felt disconnected from both my body and my mind.
That season of my life ended up changing me in ways I never expected.
Instead of continuing to push against my body, I became curious about understanding it. I started learning more about nutrition, hormones, neuroscience, gut health, functional medicine, and the small everyday habits that truly affect how we feel.
Slowly, wellness stopped being about perfection and started becoming about healing.
I created Wellness Cami as a space to share the things that have helped me along the way. Nourishing recipes, wellness habits, reflections, and little pieces of my life as I continue learning what balance looks like.
This space isn’t about extremes or having everything figured out. It’s about learning to care for yourself in a softer, more sustainable way. About finding routines you genuinely enjoy, meals that make you feel nourished, and creating a life that feels good from the inside out.
